The main benefit of maintenance is that it offers you a peace of mind throughout your lease contract. You don’t have to worry about paying for your services, any warranty claims are sorted for you, and you have no unexpected maintenance or repair costs to pay. If you are interested in a maintenance contract, it is simple to add it to your car lease deal so just let your sales consultant know and we can provide you with a quote!

Maintenance is not automatically included on our lease deals. It is simple to add though, you can add maintenance directly on the offers page of our website when you enquire, or you can get in touch with your sales consultant who can provide you with a maintenance quote.

Any mechanical faults (like problems with the gearbox or steering) are covered in the vehicle warranty that is included in all of our lease deals.

Any servicing is not included in the lease contract unless you have opted for a service plan or a maintenance package. You will have to pay for the servicing of your vehicle otherwise.

As part of your lease contract, you are responsible for keeping it in good condition. This means making sure the servicing and MOT are up to date as well. You are also contractual obligated to conduct any maintenance at brand approved garages.

On average, we recommend you conduct a service every 12 months or every 12,000 miles but it can depend on the vehicle and the manufacturer’s service schedule. We’ve provided a list of the links to the appropriate manufacturer page for servicing on our servicing and MOT page.

To find out when your car is due for a service, you will need to consult your service book. Sometimes a service light will appear on the dashboard but otherwise, a service is either annual or a specific mileage has been reached. You can find out more on our servicing page.

When the service is due, you will need to take the vehicle to any of the manufacturer’s approved UK garages.

All of our lease cars come with full manufacturer’s warranty. How long the warranty lasts depends on the manufacturer of your car. On average, manufacturer’s warranty is at lease three years or 60,000 miles which ever comes first.

The first MOT for a car is due on the third anniversary of its registration. If your lease contract is more than three years, you will need to MOT it after three years and every year after. If your lease contract is three years, it depends on when the car is returned as whether you need to MOT it or not. If you return the vehicle before the date its MOT is due, you do not need to get an MOT. Learn more about MOTs on our MOT and servicing page.

Fair wear and tear to tyres and wheels is not included in the warranty as well as any wear on brake pads. Any components in the brakes, however, are included in manufacturer’s warranty. Learn more on our warranty page.
