Cancelling Your Lease Car

For whatever reason, you may need to cancel your lease car either before your delivery or if you already have the car. All customers have a right to change their mind and cancel their agreement but in most cases, cancellation charges will apply.

Cancelling Before Your Car Arrives

If you wish to cancel before you have received the lease car, you will need to send a written note of cancellation via email to either your sales support admin or your sales consultant. Depending on the timeline of your order, you may be liable to pay a cancellation fee of £420. This fee applies to all orders once the vehicle order has been placed with the supplier; subject to exceptional circumstances.

Cancelling When Your Car Is Delivered

On your delivery day, you are within your right to not accept the lease car if you are not satisfied with the car’s condition or if the specification of the car is not what was agreed on in the contract. This can only be done if the delivery driver is still there, and nothing has been signed for. If you are unhappy with the car’s condition, you can get in contact with us, and we can speak to the supplier to help get any problems sorted. If you are unhappy with the specification, you will be subject to a variety of additional fees as it is up to you to ensure that the car ordered is the car you wanted.

With most online transactions you are entitled to a 14-day cooling-off period. For car leasing, this usually starts after your lease contract has been signed by you and approved by the finance company.

Cancelling After You’ve Got Your Car

Cancelling the lease contract after you have received your vehicle is called early termination. Early termination is not always an option that is available to you as it depends on the finance company your contract is with. We recommend checking your contract to see if it is mentioned in the terms and conditions.
