The Willow Leasing Team volunteered to clear the paths and cut back overgrown trees and brambles. The main aim was to make the nature reserve more accessible for the local community and the Study Centre who use the nature reserve to teach groups of children about the local wildlife and their habitat.
The day started at 9:00am on Saturday 21st June and the team of six set to work clearing back all the paths, giving back useable access to the groups who frequently use the area.
- David Jenkins (Managing Director) said “the whole team really enjoyed the day and it was great giving something back to the local community and by the end of the day the team were asking what we could do next!”
- Sue (Austerfield Study Centre) said “we’re really grateful for the time that the Willow Leasing team took to come and help at our centre. There are only a few of us that work at the study centre and we rely on the help of local businesses to come and help us carry out some of the bigger tasks. Please come back soon!”
