3. The Midlands Tick

It goes down from Bingham to Market Harborough through Langar and Eastwell, then up north to Uppingham via Sutton Bassett and Stockerston. It’s a beautiful drive with wonderful countryside, and it’s one you can do all year round.
4. The Cat and Fiddle Road
Another famous and very scenic driving route in the UK, this road trip in the Peak District is named after the Cat and Fiddle Inn. It’s 12 miles long and easy to drive in under half an hour.
It starts at Buxton on the A53 and goes to Macclesfield, taking in lots of dramatic scenery on the way. There are lots of very tight bends, so it’s best not to tackle this one in icy conditions. At the summit, stop at the Cat and Fiddle Inn for some food and enjoy the beautiful views before driving on to Macclesfield.
5. Highlands Road Trip
The Scottish Highlands provide the perfect setting for any road trip, and one of the best is the route that takes you from Glasgow to Fort William.
It’s a 140-mile trip, which should take about three hours, but you can stop on the way to make it last longer. On the way, you’ll pass by Loch Lomond, Loch Ness and Ben Nevis, making it an excellent option if you want to take in some of the best sights in Scotland on your drive.
